Electrode induction melting gas atomization technology (EIGA) is a process in which prefabricated alloy rods are used as electrodes, and rotating rod electrodes are melted by induction melting and atomized. From the working principle of electrode induction melting gas atomization technology, it can be seen that the advantage of EIGA method is that it does not need to use a crucible for melting, it is a crucible less melting technology, which can reduce doping of other metals or non-metallic impurities in the melting process, and greatly improve purity of the final powder. However, the shortcomings of the EIGA technology are also obvious. Production and procurement costs of prefabricated alloy bars are higher than alloy ingot. Composition uniformity of the bar alloy has a great impact on the chemical composition of powder after atomization. It is difficult to control melting rate of the metal bar, metal liquid "cut off" phenomenon and even "broken rod" phenomenon are usually happen in the production process.
